What a horrid weekend!!

So I failed my driving test on Friday! Not sure what came over me ~ sat at a round about in rush hour traffic a couple of minutes out of the test centre ~ thought the test man would thing I was hesitating, and that I had sat there too long so I pulled out in front of a blue Subaru Impretza! Brilliant!!  Even as I did it, I knew I shouldn't be! I knew the bloke was going to have to brake and I would fail!!  And I still did it?!  Clearly I left my brain at home, I then cried! The whole ordeal was awful!!  And I felt a right idiot by the end of it!! Then I had to tell everyone I had failed and the reason why! The humiliation!!  My lovely husband has booked me in to re-take it ~ and i'm hoping I wake up with a sensible head on that morning!!

Lots of cakes last week (decorated though my many tears!!)  Especially liked my little Owl cake ~ I have wrote a tutorial on how to make him > available from my website click here >  Little Owl
My little girl gave this cake as a gift to her friend.
I have a big Dragon cake to make this week, which I have to admit I am very excited about!!  And I have started making a few little parts of him already!  And I am itching for the builders to get finished downstairs so I can clear up and make a proper start on him!!

A few of last weeks cakes for you :0)  Hope you all have a fab week ~ and heres hoping mine is better than last!!

Cake in a Mug yum yum :0)

3rd cake is in the oven cooking, I have just about dried out from taking the Girls to school this morning ( drowned rat doesn't even come close!!)  The rain is still coming down, and all the teaspoons have gone missing again!!
So I thought I would share our Chocolate cake microwave mugs that we finally made last night, whilst I eat my porridge :0)  This is taken from  BBC Good Food  but we read all the comments and made the suggested changes ~

1 coffee mug
4 tbsp self raising flour
4 tbsp castor sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder

we mixed all the dry ingredients together in the mug, then in a seperate dish we mixed ~

3 tbsp of milk
3 tbsp of oil
1 egg
splash of vanilla

Then we mixed them together in the mug until we had a smooth batter

Into the microwave for 3 mins ~ 800w

It rose up out of the cup very high and we opened the door a couple of times to let it sink back down again before restarting, I thought it tasted scrummy and really was a super fast pudding, the Girls ate theirs with cream and the only thing i would do differently next time would be to half the mixture between 2 mugs as there was too much sponge for them to finish :0)  But all in all very scrummy and well worth the 5 minutes it took to make :0)

The postman has been with lots of goodies for my website shop :0)  So i'm off to un pack and start uploading :0)  Have a look a little later and see if there is something that catches your eye :) Funky Fairy Shop filled with Jubilee goodies

Had a really busy week last week ~ trying to sort the house out after the builders had been in ~ slowly getting there!!

We had our first scan 45 minutes after getting back from our holidays!!  Good job I opened the post instead of crying over the plaster dust!  We dashed over to Burton and got there with minutes to spare ~ minus maternity notes too!! oops!!  The ladies were very kind to us all, and even let my 2 girls come in and see their new sibling on the screen :0)

And there is Baby number 3, I can feel it jiggling and wriggling around, and whilst baby was on the screen it couldn't keep still :0)  A proper little fidget, touch wood the sickness seems to have passed now too ~  I don't have to get up and eat a mountain of food every morning before I leave the house to ward off the nausea < I say that really quietly though as I don't want to tempt fate!!
My tummy is ever expanding and the girls are convinced I get bigger by the day, I'm kinda hoping I'm not!!  But I am loving being pregnant, and the date for our 20 week scan arrived the end of last week ~ everyone keeps asking if we are going to find out what we are having,  I'm not so sure I want to know ~ but I can see the practical reasons for finding out!  I might, as a few people have suggested to me, ask them to write it on a piece of paper so we can take it away with us and decide later :0)  Though I can't leave presents alone at Christmas never mind a piece of paper!!!

Off to fetch my youngest from a birthday party now, then she is off to Brownies :0)

I'll fill you all in on the chocolate cake in a mug tomorrow!!
